SURFSKILLS is the culmination of many years of experience, observations and planning. While our obvious goal is to teach people how to surf, and to surf better with the Aloha principles, this is just a small part of the big picture. Our ultimate goal is to introduce kids and adults to a sport that will help them create a healthier, happier and more active lifestyle.

SURFSKILLS AND ACTIVE SPORTS

Statistics show that interest and participation in so-called mainstream sports, such as baseball, basketball, and football, is in decline and is shifting into one of two different areas—passive activities like video games and active ones like extreme sports that include snow boarding, cycling, and of course surfing. It’s pretty clear to us which one of these areas is causing the health problems today. It’s equally clear to us, which one can, and needs to play a big role in the solution.

Our focus at SURFSKILLS is surfing. Our goal is to help surfers of all ages get more out of their surfing related experiences. We are confident that when people learn to surf the right way, with ALOHA, they will do it often and do it for a lifetime. That means a lifetime of health benefits both above and below the neck.

PROVIDING THE SKILLS TO ENSURE THE THRILLS

In addition to the health focus, some time ago we began to notice that there is becoming less and less ALOHA out in the water and also on land. As our planet becomes more populated, the ALOHA spirit becomes more and more important. Teaching ALOHA through surfing is our way of giving back to a sport and a way of life that is very special. That is why we decided to create SURFSKILLS.

SURFSKILLS: PEOPLE AND PROGRAMS

Our programs are divided into three skill levels: Entry-level, Intermediate and Advanced.

Come get connected to yourself and nature through SURFING!
